Job summary

E4A Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to maintain the reliability of utility distribution systems across the Northeastern United States. You will install, commission, and troubleshoot DX Voltage Regulators and DX Line Reclosers, ensuring proper operation and protection of the distribution grid.

You will work hands-on with controls, protection, and SCADA interfaces, perform testing, and support preventive maintenance and documentation for accurate project turnover.

Qualifications

• Experience with utility distribution equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in field locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and energize DX Voltage Regulators and DX Line Reclosers.
• Perform functional and operational testing of regulators and reclosers.
• Configure protection and communication settings for correct system response.
• Test regulator controls, tap changer operations, and voltage regulation functions.
• Test recloser trip, close, lockout operations and fault-interruption operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment, controls, and automation systems to minimize downtime.
• Support SCADA integration and remote-control verification for reliable monitoring.
• Document commissioning, testing, maintenance, and settings changes for recordkeeping.
