LiftOne / Carolina-CAT is offering a DoD SkillBridge Diesel Technician Apprentice Program for transitioning service members. This hands-on pathway provides training and a gateway to full-time employment.

Participating locations include Concord, Asheville, Greensboro, Charlotte and more, with opportunities across NC, GA, AL, SC and TN. Join us to turn military skills into a civilian career in heavy equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Active-duty service members eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • Interest or background in diesel engines and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
  • Willing to undergo background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and inspections.
  • Comply with safety standards and company policies.

We are seeking highly motivated and mechanically inclined transitioning service members to join our team as Diesel Technicians through the DoD SkillBridge program. This program offers hands-on training and a pathway to full-time employment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including brakes, transmissions, and HVAC systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and inspections.
