Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking a General Field Technician/Mechanic for heavy civil projects in the North Texas area. The role focuses on maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing concrete and/or asphalt paving equipment to ensure reliable operation on site.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of service and repair experience with paving equipment, familiarity with major brands, strong preventive maintenance skills, and the ability to work outdoors with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of service and repair experience with concrete and/or asphalt paving equipment.
• Experience with asphalt paving equipment brands such as Roadtec, Wirtgen, Vogele, Weiler.
• Experience with concrete paving equipment brands such as Gomaco, Miller Formless, Wirtgen, Guntert & Zimmerman.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on paving equipment.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain detailed service records for warranty, compliance and tracking.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
