Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Field Technician with hands-on construction materials testing experience for on-site work across active projects. You will test fresh concrete, soils, and asphalt, and transport samples between sites, curing facilities, and the laboratory.

Record results per ASTM standards, inspect equipment, and support lab activities. ACI Grade I or in-progress, 1–2 years’ experience, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I Certification required or in progress.
• 1–2 years of construction materials testing, field inspection, or related work.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for sample transport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors on active sites.
• Willingness to travel between multiple job sites as project demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt using ASTM methods.
• Conduct fresh concrete testing, sample collection and documentation on sites.
• Transport cylinders and samples between sites, curing facility, and lab.
• Record and report test results per ASTM standards and procedures.
• Inspect, maintain and verify testing equipment for reliability.
