Job summary

GHD in the United States is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join the field team. You'll support soil and groundwater remediation O&M projects across the region, performing field sampling and system inspections.

You will work with a proactive team, handle equipment and chemical inventories, and coordinate with contractors, project teams, and clients. A high school diploma is required, with 5+ years of field experience and a valid driver's license.

• Must have electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Who are we looking for?

Our US Central Environmental business is looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join their field team in Taos, NM. As a technician, you will support a variety of remediation and O&M projects throughout the region.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of soil and groundwater remediation systems, which may include:

Mechanical, and electrical, troubleshooting and maintenance

Site inspections and system performance sampling

Equipment and chemical Inventory

Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc. in accordance with applicable standards

Collection of detailed field notes and excellent oral communication

Coordination with contractors and service providers and oversight of contractor activities

Provide support and oversight to other field activities as needed

Coordination with project team, local stakeholders, and client

What you will bring to the team:

High School Diploma/GED required; College degree is a plus especially if in environmental related field (e.g., geology, wastewater operations, environmental science)

5 plus years of environmental field experience

Must possess good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills

Ability and willingness to perform field work.

Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

Valid driver’s license and clear driving record

OSHA 40hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus
