Job summary

Window Nation is seeking a Field Technician to measure and install windows and doors at customer sites in the Deer Park, NY area. You will visit residential sites, measure openings, and ensure installations meet specifications while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–4 years of measuring experience, the ability to drive to sites, and EPA certification. Growth opportunities, competitive pay, and a full benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of measuring experience.
• Experience with vinyl/aluminum/impact windows.
• Must be able to pass EPA certification.
• Strong measurement and estimation skills for installation specs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Visit residential customer sites to measure window, door, and opening as needed.
• Ensure order meets installation specs and includes material/labor requirements.
• Support pricing by providing accurate measurements for labor/materials.
• Review installation project with customers and set expectations.
• Anticipate roadblocks and propose solutions to protect timelines and costs.
• Execute change order specifications and maintain inventory and tools.
• Complete service assessments and identify needed services, materials, and labor for stakeholders.

We’re seeking a Field Technician who will play a critical role in growing and developing our operational and install processes

The field technician goes out to do all service and will help with installations. They must be comfortable with heights and have previous installation experience working with installing windows on non-new construction homes. They must be able to drive the work vehicle and know how to work with difficult customers.

This role will work onsite out of our new Deer Park, NY location. Candidates from other surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

• Visit residential customer sites to measure each window, door, sliding glass door opening as needed
• Ensure order meets required installation specifications; ensure comprehensive purchase order, including material and labor requirements
• Support pricing process by providing accurate measurements and assessments for labor/materials
• Review installation project/process with customers
• Anticipate roadblocks that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutions
• Execute change order specifications
• Maintain service parts inventory and equipment
• Complete service assessments; identify needed services, materials, and labor to relevant stakeholders
• Fulfill service appointment specifications
• Ability to learn and stay proficient with all Window Nation products, install techniques, and service techniques.
• Maintain proficiency to do all tasks of the position.
• Maintain a substantive knowledge of product, install techniques, and construction basics
• Maintaining a driving record that meets company’s insurance standards
• Ability to use an extension ladder in a safe manner to measure windows and perform services
• Must be able to passEPAcertification and follow EPARegulations

Pay Transparency Statement: At Window Nation, compensation is determined on multiple factors, including experience, education, skills, location, and the requirements of the role. For this position, the expected base salary is $33/hour. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on a combination of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
