Job summary

TIAG seeks a Field Technician/Installer Level II to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot DoD electronic security systems. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to travel up to 75% CONUS, with potential CONUS/OCONUS assignments.

The candidate will handle complex service requests, provide independent diagnoses, and mentor Level I staff while supporting mission-ready operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of proven experience as a Level I Technician or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance (US citizenship).
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance according to schedule.
  • Deliver Preventive Maintenance reports to Senior Technicians for review.
  • Manage a defined queue of service tickets and ensure timely corrective maintenance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for technical staff and Level 1 OJT.

Job description

TIAG is seeking a Field Technician/Installer at a Level II experience. The Technician should be able to demonstrate experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Security Systems.This position plays a vital role in sustaining mission readiness by ensuring the optimal performance of critical equipment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, team-oriented approach.Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% CONUS; opportunity for OCONUS travelClearance: This position will require a government clearance to be processed, so US Citizenship is a requirement.This is a full-time position; 40 hours/week.A Level II Technician handles more complex service requests, performs independent diagnoses, and is expected to provide support to Level I staff. This role requires a solid foundation of technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.ResponsibilityFocus AreaQuarterly GoalOn site TechnicianConduct Preventive Maintenance according to schedule.Deliver Preventive Maintenance reports to Senior Technicians for review.High-Level SupportManage a defined queue of service ticketsSuccessful completion of corrective maintenance in a timely manner to prevent downtime.Training & MentorshipDevelop and deliver training programs for all technical staff.Implement a new training curriculum and OJT for Level 1 technicians.Education: Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional certification.Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience as a Level I Technician or equivalent, with 2 core areas of expertise in (Lenel, AMAG,Bosch,Milestone,DMP etc)Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance, US or Naturalized Citizenship is required.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various hardware and software issues.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Working knowledge of network configurations and protocols.Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.TIAG is an equal opportunity employer and federal contractor or subcontractor.
