Job summary

Pape’ MATERIAL HANDLING, INC. – ARLINGTON, WA is seeking a Field Technician II to keep customer material handling equipment running at peak performance. You will travel within your region to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance at customer sites.

You will diagnose a broad range of systems and coordinate with the Parts Department to source parts, while providing clear communication to customers. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in the material handling industry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair material handling equipment at customer sites to maximize uptime.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts, LPG and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electronics and more.
• Occasionally assist with shop repairs; communicate clearly with customers and document service actions.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to identify, order, and return parts to complete each job efficiently.
