Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our team. This role operates across unmanned systems (UUVs/USVs) and autonomy software, with field testing, customer training, and production support responsibilities.

You will perform pre-mission programming, field testing, data analysis, and post-mission reporting while maintaining clearance eligibility. Travel is local to regional sites; clean driving record and safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2-year technical degree required.
• Local travel 25–40% for sea/boat testing and customer-site training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides testing per procedures using instruments and software for vehicle systems.
• Provides customer support and training in-house and in the field.
• Supports production, test boards assembly, repairs, and field operations.
• Maintains vehicle repairs, upgrades, and test procedures in new and existing vehicles.
• Performs pre-mission tasks and post-mission data analysis.
