Rain for Rent is hiring a Field Technician II in Hampton, VA to lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe, pumps, and related equipment at agricultural or industrial sites. The role requires reading work orders, selecting materials, loading/unloading, and ensuring safety and customer satisfaction on site.

You will inspect equipment and perform tests, demonstrate equipment to customers, and uphold QSE regulations while coordinating with branch and corporate teams. Night/weekend flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

  • Read work orders and determine assignments and material needs.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Able to use calculator, cellphone, and tape measure.
  • Able to read a map and calculate distances.

Responsabilités

  • Read work orders or oral instructions to determine work assignments and material/equipment needs.
  • Select pipe sizes and related materials per specifications.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials/equipment with appropriate tools.
  • Inspect equipment, vehicles, and tools for safety and functionality before travel.
  • Track and maintain company tools and supplies; report damaged/missing items to Supervisor.
  • Complete Job Site Analysis for customer/sites.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment.
  • Inspect/test installed systems and pipes using gauges etc.
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers after install/testing if required.
  • Use hand/power tools to modify/maintain pipe systems and equipment.
  • Follow QSE regulations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction before leaving jobsite.
  • Promote cooperation with Branch and Corporate personnel.
  • Participate in Company Safety Culture.

The Field Technician II position will lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe, pumps, and related equipment for agricultural or industrial work sites. Positively represent the Company and maintain good relations with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment with appropriate tools, machinery, and other equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect equipment, company vehicles, and tools for safety and functionality prior to travel to customer sites.
  • Track and maintain company tools and supplies and report any damaged or missing items to Supervisor.
  • Complete Job Site Analysis for customer or job sites where work is to be performed.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to project specifications.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Perform demonstration of equipment for customers upon install and testing completion if required.
  • Using hand and power tools, modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, pumps, and related machines and equipment following specifications.
  • Follow QSE regulations.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction prior to leaving jobsite and answer any questions they may have.
  • Promote cooperation and good communication with all Branch and Corporate personnel.
  • Be an active participant in the Company’s Safety Culture.
  • Know and practice company’s value proposition.
