Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Field Technician to perform testing of construction materials, observations, and site assessments in the A/E/C industry.

You will operate testing equipment for soil and concrete, reference drawings and specifications, and document results under supervision.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in construction industry.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 50 to 75 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, hearing, and to make discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally and be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.
• Ability to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
