Job summary

Enbridge Inc. seeks a safety‑minded technician to ensure safe, compliant operation of equipment and to address malfunctions and emergencies in field settings. You will manage reports, drawings, and inventory while supporting maintenance planning and parts management.

You will operate and monitor station gear, respond to alarms, and uphold SOPs and regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, with SOP adherence.
• Effective communicator with solid verbal and written skills and digital literacy.

• Comply with PHMSA and EPA regulations and SOPs.

What you will do:

• Ensure safe, compliant, and consistent functioning of Enbridge equipment by following all safety procedures, participating in safety programs, and applying lockout/tagout practices.
• Address equipment malfunctions, damage, and emergencies to protect life, property, and system integrity.
• Manage documentation and materials by completing accurate reports, interpreting drawings and as‑builts, and overseeing ordering, receiving, transferring, and inventory of materials.
• Support maintenance planning by assisting with work plans, providing budget-related input, and recommending spare parts levels to reduce downtime.
• Operate, monitor, and inspect station compressors, prime movers, valves, auxiliary equipment, and support systems; adjust operating modes to meet system demands, monitor alarms and operating conditions, and respond appropriately to abnormal conditions to ensure safe and reliable station operations.
• Contribute positively to team operations by maintaining cooperative working relationships and actively participating in group activities.
• Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
• Performs all duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimal direct relevant training and experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, supported by relevant training or experience, while maintaining adherence to SOPs.
• Effective communicator with solid verbal and written skills, and digital literacy in Word, Excel, and other related software.
• Proven commitment to safety, responsibility, and initiative.
• Collaborative teammate who values inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness in the workplace.

Working Conditions:

Primarily based outdoors with some office duties for training, meetings, and documentation. Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all weather conditions. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call & standby, and travel overnight as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Include but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement.
• Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations.
• Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

• Include but are not limited to the Ability to: understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
