Job summary

Rain for Rent is seeking a Field Technician I to load, unload, and move materials around plant, yard, or job sites. You will lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe, pumps, and equipment for agricultural or industrial work sites, while representing the company and maintaining strong customer relations.

Essential duties include loading and securing materials, inspecting equipment and tools for safety, performing site analyses, and assisting with installations and testing as required.

Qualifications

  • Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure/ruler.
  • Able to read a map and calculate distances.
  • Motivated, a team player, safety-oriented, and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload materials and equipment with appropriate tools, machinery, and other equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect equipment, vehicles, and tools for safety and functionality prior to travel to customer sites.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Field Technician I position will load, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe, pumps, and related equipment for agricultural or industrial work sites. Positively represent the company and maintain good relations with customers.

Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment with appropriate tools, machinery, and other equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect equipment, company vehicles, and tools for safety and functionality prior to travel to customer sites.
  • Track and maintain company tools and supplies and report any damaged or missing items to Supervisor.
  • Complete Job Site Analysis for customer or job sites where work is to be performed.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to project specifications.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Perform demonstration of equipment for customers upon install and testing completion if required.
  • Using hand and power tools, modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, pumps, and related machines and equipment following specifications.
  • Follow QSE regulations
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction prior to leaving jobsite and answer any questions they may have.
  • Promote cooperation and good communication with all Branch and Corporate personnel.
  • Be an active participant in the Company’s Safety Culture.
  • Know and practice company’s value proposition.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
