Job summary

MacAllister Machinery is seeking a Rental EPG Field Technician to perform maintenance and repair on Rental Power Generators, Air Compressors and HVAC equipment. The Kalamazoo location reports to Galesburg and you will diagnose and fix field issues, order parts, and document service in detail.

You must maintain equipment, communicate with customers, and build strong relationships while meeting safety and regulatory requirements. A valid DOT Card and CDL A are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of fixing generators, air compressors and HVAC to quality standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical components such as switch gears and ATS and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively.
• Promptness to arrive at and depart from work on time.
• Strong communication and listening to understand customer needs and perform required work.
• Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports.
• A current DOT Medical Card.
• A current CDL A

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with generators, air compressors and HVAC.
• Perform repairs in the field based on the diagnosis.
• Locate and order parts as required. Coordinate with parts drivers as needed.
• Write up detailed service reports for internal and external requirements.
• Maintain own equipment.
• Build productive customer relationships to benefit all involved
