Job summary

MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking a Broadband Field Technician I to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber-optic and coax cabling in customer environments. You will diagnose issues, document work, and ensure safety policies are followed while delivering high-quality service.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, fiber optics training or certification if possible, and a valid driver’s license for travel to sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Fiber optic/coax installation experience preferred
• Ability to travel; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber-optic and coax cables in indoor/outdoor settings.
• Test and verify fiber/Coax connections; troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain and repair fiber-optic and coax equipment and network infrastructure.
• Document installations, repairs, and configurations.
• Provide professional customer support and technical assistance.
