Job summary

SOCOTEC US seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our field team. You will perform field testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt on construction sites and document results to support quality control.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in construction materials testing, strong communication, and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license and relevant certifications (ACI Grade I, ATTI, Nuclear Gauge) are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing or related field.
• Knowledge of standard test methods for soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I; ATTI; Nuclear Gauge certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Conduct quality control inspections on construction sites and document observations.
• Prepare accurate field reports, test results, and supporting project documentation.
• Maintain field and laboratory records and ensure data is complete and organized.
• Communicate test results and observations to project managers, contractors, and clients.
