Job summary

Griffin Fluid Management is seeking a Field Technician to assist with installation, operation, and removal of sewer bypass pumping systems. The role requires traveling 75–90% to job sites and handling heavy equipment safely.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, and at least 2 years of related hands-on experience. Willingness to work outside in varying conditions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and remove sewer bypass pumping systems.
• Safely load/unload equipment and materials.

• Maintain orderliness of project site/shop/yard.
• Communicate effectively with team and management.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The Field Technician will assist with installation, operation, and removal of sewer bypass pumping systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and remove sewer bypass pumping systems.
• Safely load and unload equipment and materials onto trucks and trailers and transport to site.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, pumps, and fusion machines.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, mini excavators, etc.
• Assist in maintaining orderliness of project site and/or shop and yard.
• Effective communication with co-workers, supervisor, and management.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Legal to work in US.
• Pass required drug/alcohol and background screens.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in related field.
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Percent of Travel Required – 75-90%, with occasional extended hours or weekends required.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications

• Prior experience in sewer bypass pumping, water/wastewater systems, HDPE pipe fusion, centrifugal pump operation, and CDL Class A or B.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and stand.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to load, unload, and move large equipment and tools.
• Continuous walking, stair climbing, and lifting.
• Full range of physical motions associated with general labor work.
• Continual exposure to all outdoor weather conditions (extreme heat and cold); exposure to noise and fumes from motorized equipment.

Compensation

• Title and/or salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
