Job summary

Gravity in Pecos, TX is seeking a Field Technician 1 to handle delivery, setup, and service of rental equipment at customer locations. The role includes performing preventative maintenance and on-site repairs in a safe, efficient manner.

You will operate company vehicles, assist with loading, unloading, fueling, and ensuring equipment operates correctly. The position requires basic mechanical knowledge, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy items and travel long distances.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; some college preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and maintain insurability with Company insurance.
• Requires basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to drive long distances/periods in Company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Understanding of basic maintenance concepts for light to moderate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment at customer locations.
• Operates Company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment safely.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE powered equipment.
• Follows safety procedures and uses appropriate tools and safety devices.
• Responds to on-call duties and complies with policies.

Description

The Field Technician 1 provides delivery and setup of the Company’s rental equipment to customer locations. Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment in the field in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
• Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment on customer locations.
• Operates Company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE (internal combustible engine) powered equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Follows procedures to complete Short Service Employee requirements.
• Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
• Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
