Work Location: U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Utah

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. At Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), southwest of Salt Lake City Utah, SA-TECH supports the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), the nation’s designated Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) for chemical and biological defense. The WDTC plans, conducts, evaluates, reports, and supports Chemical and Biological (CB) and non-CB testing efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD), other federal agencies, private industries, and foreign Governments (e.g., environmental assessment/impact evaluations, weapons and munitions demilitarization, chemical energetics/homemade explosive testing, unmanned systems testing, direct and indirect fire weapons testing, hazard assessments, and technical/logistical support of operations at DPG).

At DPG, SA-TECH is looking to hire a Field Technician onto our team to support program efforts and contribute to success at this major DoD Test Facility.

Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

• Operate a variety of field vehicles.


• Operate a variety of equipment, such as aerosol sampling devices and test instrumentation.


• Fuel up generators and vehicles.


• Other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

• Work is mostly performed in a field setting outdoors under changing weather conditions.


• Availability to respond to “after hours” alarms or emergencies.


• Willingness to work extended hours with little prior notice.


• May be required to lift and handle heavy items (50 lbs.), as well as stand/walk for extended periods of time.


• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks that require such protective gear.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.


• Prior experience in field test environments preferred.


• Availability to respond to “after hours” alarms or emergencies.


• Willingness to work extended hours with little prior notice.


• Capable of working in field conditions.


• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks that require such protective gear.


• A commitment to maintaining a productive and collaborative working environment.


• Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.


• U.S. Citizenship required and you must have a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.


• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, as well as periodic retests.


• All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver’s Record, and a Criminal Background Investigation.
