Triumvirate Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician for our San Leandro, CA team. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right people. This role reports to the Field Services Manager and involves handling hazardous materials in a safety‑driven environment.

You will perform site tasks including waste pickup/delivery, decontamination, and routine inspections, with opportunities for growth, training, and benefits in a supportive company culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Interest in hazardous waste field with willingness to learn.
• Ability to pass OSHA/DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform confined space entries, soil remediation, chemical decontamination, and tank cleaning.
• Learn daily work practices and stay motivated.
• Understand DOT, EPA, CA RCRA & OSHA regs and TEI safety practices.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Pickup and deliver hazardous/non-hazardous waste with strong customer service.
• Wear respirator for full shift.
• Provide high-quality client service.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Assist supervisor and others as needed.
• Participate in rotating on-call Emergency Response.

This position reports to the Field Services Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Perform confined space entries, soil remediation, chemical decontamination, underground and aboveground storage tank cleaning and closure, sample collection, separator cleaning and emergency response services
• Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
• Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA, California RCRA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
• Understand and execute all required paperwork
• Pickup and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials with a sharp focus on customer service
• Be able to wear a respirator for full shift
• Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service
• Routinely perform vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections
• Assist Supervisor, Lead and other Equipment Operators as requested
• Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, hazardous waste field
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn
• Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• The Field Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior relevant industry experience
• Active HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certification
• Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
