Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Field Technician to install customer service drops or outlets in homes and businesses, using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot performance issues and fix problems from customer equipment to the first distribution amplifier.

You will verify signal levels, proactively suggest upgrades, and educate customers about new/existing equipment while representing Cable One professionally in the field.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
  • Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot drops/outlets and diagnose issues.
  • Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination.
  • Educate customers on new/existing equipment and possible upgrades.

QualificationsA good driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state you are applying.Flexibility to go beyond for our customers by working overtime and on-call as needed.Problem solving is key when working with our customers. Be able to listen to customers and present solutions in a positive manner.Due to the nature of the position, you will need to successfully work in small and confined areas; lift to 80 lbs.; work on a ladder; and work in all weather conditions.You will have demonstrated at least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training. The equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.High school diploma or GED.Regular and predictable attendance is required.
