Job summary

Uniti Group is seeking a Field Technician I to manage and maintain a territory, perform on-site installations, and troubleshoot network equipment and fiber plant within the Uniti footprint. You will install gear at cellular sites, COs, POPs, and enterprise facilities, and assist with testing to ensure functionality.

The role requires up to 20% travel, weekends/on-call rotation, and a strong safety mindset. A high school diploma or GED, fiber splicing knowledge, and a valid driver’s license are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fiber optic splicing knowledge and handling/cleaning of fibers required.
• Basic AC/DC voltage knowledge and power handling ( +24 / -48 ).
• Ability to travel up to 20% and work on-call including weekends.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; travel and remote area work possible.

Responsibilities

• Install network gear at cellular sites, COs, POPs, facilities, bases, and schools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Log into switches and follow NOC/engineer instructions.
• Work on-call during weekends and outside normal hours.
