A leading company in IT services is seeking a Field Technician for a year-long contract assignment in Los Angeles. Formación

• Must have Class B OR Class C driving license.

Job Title: Field Technician

Fixed Pay Rate: $33 per hr. on W2

Contract Duration: one year assignment open to extend

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm.

Occasionally (Very Rare)-Night Shift. Occasionally overtime, depends on clients' needs.

Important Note: Will be travelling to different sites within LA county.

Company will pay for gas and mileage; You need to bring your own truck/pickup truck/SUV with ladders and tools (wire, cutters, drill, hammer, screwdriver, caulking gun). Need to have Class B OR Class C driving license.

Job Description:

Experienced technician installing conduit and bending conduit to run fiber through and installing access points. Mounting switches and racks and having the ability to configure into a switch so that a remote team can drop configurations on. Installing point to multipoint. Contractors will walk around to do a post-install heatmap to show where the Wi-Fi is installed. Contractor will be traveling to different customer sites in LA County.

Responsibilities include:

• How to bend conduit
• Testing Ethernet cable
• Cleaning and testing fiber
• Different site installs and queuing third-party vendor work
• Understanding how to mount access points on ceiling, walls, and poles
• Running and terminating Ethernet cables from APS to network closets, IDFs, and MDFs; testing Wi-Fi speed
• Testing fiber optics, shooting light through, identifying dark fiber
• Running cables through ceilings, walls, raising flooring with proper cable management
• Ensuring installations meet building codes
• Configuring switches and understanding how to run cables correctly, bending conduit
