Job summary

Hagerman Fire & Life Safety is seeking a motivated Field Technician to join our Ohio-based team. This full-time, on-site role covers installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection and life safety systems across Ohio.

You will troubleshoot issues, document service activities, and communicate findings with customers while adhering to safety standards. Expect regional travel and occasional overtime as needed.

Role Description

Hagerman Fire & Life Safety is seeking a motivated Field Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position serving customers throughout Ohio.

As a Field Technician, you will assist with the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection and life safety systems. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on training, and develop valuable technical skills in an industry dedicated to protecting lives and property.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, documenting service activities, communicating findings with customers, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

This position involves regional travel, work in a variety of commercial and industrial environments, and occasional overtime based on customer needs.

What We're Looking For

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in troubleshooting equipment and systems
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company standards
• Ability to lift equipment, use hand and power tools, and work in various facility environments
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Experience That's Helpful, But Not Required

• Experience in fire protection, life safety, electrical, HVAC, security systems, low-voltage systems, construction, or a related trade
• Familiarity with technical drawings, manuals, and basic code requirements
• Industry certifications such as NICET or NFPA-related training
