Job summary

Power-Equipment-Company is seeking a mobile service technician to repair a wide range of equipment, from complete overhauls to minor leaks and maintenance. You will diagnose failures, test systems, and disassemble/assemble machinery, ensuring leaks are eliminated and units are ready for operation.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, plus 5 years in heavy equipment. Travel to sites is required, with occasional overtime and safety-first practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in heavy equipment industry or related field.
  • Valid driver's license required; ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair work from overhauls to minor fixes and leak repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose failures, check pressures/voltages, locate noise sources.
  • Disassemble, order parts, repair, reassemble, and test for leaks and readiness.
  • Travel to jobsites, train with vendors, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Operate a company vehicle; work overtime as needed.

Job description

Job Summary: The technician will perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment ranging from complete machine overhauls to minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters. Other types of repairs may include rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps. Some locations have test equipment to dyno test engines, hydraulic pumps and transmissions. Installations may include undercarriage on track machines, attachments on plumbing excavators for hammers or scalers; quick coupler attachments on loaders, excavators and backhoes.Job Responsibilities:Perform daily and operational activities in the service department to include the following, but not limited to:Troubleshoot equipment problem/diagnose failurePerform diagnostic functions, check pressures, check voltage, locate source of noise or vibrationDisassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine, check machine operation make sure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed unit has no leaks, and is work readyClean parts, scrape gaskets, prep for assemblyResponsible for a company vehicle and will travel dailyMaintain safety and cleanliness of work environmentTravel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as neededOvertime as neededJob Qualifications:Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferredMust have a minimum of 5 years experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related fieldMust have a valid driver's licenseExcellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs.Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems and how they are integratedAbility to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs.Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feetAble to work in all types of weather conditionsCapable of working with limited supervision / self-starterMaintain excellent customer serviceMust be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
