Job summary

EchoStar is expanding its field services across New Jersey, seeking a Home Technician to install and service DISH equipment and smart home products in customers’ homes. You’ll train to deliver a world-class customer experience, teach customers how to use new tech, and promote additional services while maintaining professionalism and safety in a variety of environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

You’ll visit customers’ homes, solve problems, and introduce them to smart home tech.

• Install and service DISH equipment and smart home products in customers’ homes
• Teach customers how to use their tech and offer additional services when helpful
• Keep a clean work area and maintain a professional attitude while working independently but staying connected with the team

Skills, Experience and Requirements

What You’ll Need:

• Valid Driver’s License: This position requires a valid driver’s license because driving a company vehicle to customer sites and regional offices is an essential function of the job.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed; flexible to work shifts that might include evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Physical Ability:
• Climb ladders (up to 40 ft)
• Lift up to 70 lbs
• Must meet and maintain 335 lb weight limit
• Customer Focus: Build trust and create a great experience
• Problem-solving: Tackle a variety of challenges on the spot
• Determination: Work in tight spaces and all kinds of weather
