Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. (MINTEQ) seeks a Technical Support Specialist to deliver technical service and product support across the MINTEQ line, interfacing with sales, service, and R&D.

You will support customers at steel and industrial sites, including startups and trials, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Position requires deep knowledge of refractory products, data reporting, and ability to travel across North America to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field preferred.
• 5+ years in relevant industry preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of refractory market segments (EAF/BOF/caster) preferred.
• Willing to travel throughout the USA and Canada.
• Good English technical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product support across MINTEQ monolithic products.
• Understand application systems and best practices for materials and delivery systems.
• Assist in the sales process as a technical expert as required.
• Monitor and report product and equipment trials in detail.
• Identify best practice sharing within MINTEQ team.
• Discuss LaCam laser system and SCANTROL software with customers and sales team.
• Provide product/equipment presentations for training and education.
• Serve as liaison between customer, sales, service, and R&D for support needs.
• Provide general technical support for internal teams and external customers.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site service and training.
