Job summary

International Motors, LLC in Lisle, Illinois seeks a Technical Service Engineering Consultant to manage complex vehicle issues, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering to deliver field solutions for Medium and Heavy Duty vehicles.

You will work with the dealer network in North America, interpreting field data and warranty information to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and provide advanced diagnostic guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in technical service engineering or automotive service.
• Master's degree with 1+ year in the same field.
• Alternatively, 5+ years of technical service engineering, automotive service or truck service experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement service repair strategies and technical solutions for vehicles in the field.
• Maintain a deep technical understanding of current and upcoming products in the North American market.
• Lead issue resolution for complex technical challenges, leveraging internal teams and external partners as needed.
• Analyze field data, warranty information, and customer feedback to identify trends and systemic field quality issues.
• Prepare technical reports, service recommendations, and advanced diagnostic guidance.
• Provide effective resolution of dealer and fleet complaints, ensuring timely containment and root cause identification.
• Serve as a liaison between Quality, TRATON R&D, Customer Support, Manufacturing, and other internal/external groups.
• Present technical findings, risks, and status updates to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support and participate in project management activities related to investigations, product support, and service improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes, tools, and customer experience.
