Job summary

Boundary Zone, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Surveyor / Crew Chief for residential boundary and construction staking in the Tampa, Jacksonville, and Panama City area. You will lead field surveys, interpret deeds and plats, and mentor field staff while coordinating with clients and project managers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in land surveying, AutoCAD proficiency, and a valid driver's license, with a willingness to travel up to 75% to project sites and maintain safety and accuracy.

Boundary Zone, Inc.is recruiting for anexperienced Survey Crew Chief with Residential Boundary and Construction Staking experience in the Tampa, Jacksonville, Panama City area.

Only candidates withLand Surveying and Residential Boundary and Construction Staking Experiencewill be considered. Preference given to candidates with interest in progressing their career in professional land surveying. Must be within reasonable commute of Tampa, Jacksonville, or Panama City.

Salary based on Experience

TheField Surveyor / Crew Chiefis responsible for, but not limited to:

• The successful and accurate completion of the field survey.
• The utilization of the proper equipment to complete the survey.
• Communicating necessary information with the client and project manager.
• Mentoring and training survey field assistants.
• Ability to read and understand deeds and plats.
• Proper use and care of equipment and vehicles.
• Efficient travel to job location.
• Keeping up-to-date with survey practices and construction procedures.
• Maintaining a good driving record and a valid driver’s license
• Additional Duties as required by management

Experience: 3 or more years of progressive Land Surveying experience.

• Land Surveying: 3 years (Required)
• Boundary Resolution: 3 years (Required)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Required)

• Familiarity with Trimble surveying equipment.

Preferred skills and abilities:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Interest in becoming a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT)
• Have your own Surveying Gear and Total Station, a plus.

Candidate will be required to submit to a drug test and background check, provide character and professional references and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving policy in accordance with state and federal laws.
