Actalent seeks a Survey Field Technician in Columbus, OH to collect field data for survey preparation under a Crew Chief. The role is primarily fieldwork, with occasional office tasks, and involves travel in a company vehicle within central Ohio.

You will collect data using surveying equipment, evaluate project requirements from maps and plans, and assist with control/recovery, layout, and documentation. Proficiency in Carlson Survey, AutoCAD, and MicroStation is essential.

Qualificações

• Experience collecting field data with surveying equipment.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, plans and aerials to assess project requirements.
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round and assist with field and office tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Collect topographic field data for survey preparation using surveying equipment and software.
• Utilize maps, drawings, plans, and aerial photographs to evaluate project requirements.
• Assist in recovering survey control and monumentation, construction layout, obtaining invert and subsurface utility information, and photo documentation.
• Apply surveying techniques and advanced mathematics.
• Maintain and initiate repairs for survey equipment as necessary.
• Stay updated on current surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices.
• Research project documentation, deeds, and plats. Set up project binders, download data, and perform other office tasks.
• Prepare drawings and maps using Carlson Survey, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation as needed.
