Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar field.
• No prior experience required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position and hold prism rods or targets for measurements.
• Record survey measurements and notes using data collectors.
• Run levels and level rods for benchmarks.
• Search for property monuments and survey points.
• Set and recover stakes and monumentation.
• Operate prisms, Total Stations and GPS equipment.
• Compile information to stake projects for construction.
• Maintain equipment and load supplies in vehicles used by surveying crews.
• Perform manual labor as needed.
• Some travel may be required and some night shifts may be needed.
