Job summary

SYNCADD Systems, Inc. is seeking a Building Survey Technician to support facility surveys and inventory at Fort Drum, NY. This full-time, on-site role focuses on capturing accurate space data and creating floor plans using CAD tools.

You will work with laser measurement devices, coordinate surveys with Government personnel, and post-process data to produce detailed CAD drawings. No active security clearance required; US citizenship and CAC eligibility are necessary.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and CAC eligibility required.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Stand/walk 6–8 hours daily and outdoor work in all seasons.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, self-motivated and quick learner.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team oriented.
• Full-time on-site work at Fort Drum during government hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed facility surveys using laser measurement tools and mobile computing devices.
• Collect, validate, and document building, occupancy, and space-use data.
• Update and verify existing floor plans, noting discrepancies.
• Convert field survey data into detailed CAD floor plans (e.g., MicroStation).
• Perform quality control to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Interact professionally with military and civilian personnel.
• Learn and apply Army real property management processes to ensure compliance.
