Job summary

Thompson Engineering has a full-time opportunity for a Survey Rodman. The Surveyor Rodman provides support to the Surveyor Party Chief in the daily responsibilities of the land surveying department. This position is responsible for collecting survey data using designated survey equipment.

The ideal candidate must be willing to travel and support project needs. Operates total station, digital and automatic level, Topcon data collector, TDS software and collects data for field notes to report to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple measurements.
• Basic math skills including adding and subtracting numbers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment such as total stations and levels.
• Collect data for field notes and report to the Surveyor Party Chief.
• Assist in loading and unloading survey equipment from the company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight based on workload.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety meetings.
