MasTec Civil is hiring a Survey Party Chief to lead the field survey crew in the Miami, FL area. The role focuses on organizing, executing, and ensuring accuracy of survey work and data collection.

The candidate will oversee field surveys, define boundaries, and draft reports; collaboration with utilities is required to support public streets and easements. Strong supervision and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in surveying or related field plus four years of experience, or six years surveying experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
• Thorough understanding of field survey procedures and techniques.
• Ability to perform all aspects of field surveys.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and execution of construction, right-of-way, control, topographic, and related survey duties.
• Determines surveying techniques to be used on each project.
• Collaborates with utility companies to ensure surveys for streets and easements are properly executed.
• Gathers survey data using GPS and other surveying tools to map areas and measure angles, distances, elevations.
• Drafts reports, descriptions, and documentation for all surveys performed.
• Ensures final maps show comprehensive and accurate field descriptions.
