Job summary

Allen & Company LLC, a Florida-based surveying firm, seeks an entry-level Instrument Man to join the field team. You will support daily surveying operations across boundary, topographic, ALTA and lot surveys, gaining hands-on experience and learning to operate GPS and total stations.

The role requires outdoor work, daily travel to project sites in Central Florida and surrounding areas, and strong teamwork. Ideal for individuals starting in land surveying and eager to grow.

Qualifications

• Able to learn and use a variety of computer programs.
• Demonstrated ability to identify sources of measurements.
• Ability to work well with and take coaching/directions from others.

Responsibilities

• Accurately run and adjust survey instruments (GPS, robotic total stations, level).
• Set up equipment and jobs in data collectors.
• Scan field notes and upload files (RAW, text).
• Take accurate notes in the field book and identify materials needed for a job.
• Travel to project sites and work outdoors in various locations.
