Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. seeks a Survey Crew Chief to join the Land Surveying Services Group in Minneapolis or Saint Paul, MN; Madison, WI; and Fargo, ND. The role requires a two-year civil technology degree and 5+ years in construction surveying, with proficiency in Trimble GPS and robotics.

You will lead survey crews, perform fieldwork, and manage projects. The position offers a full-time, on-site schedule with varied locations and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

We are seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief to join our growing Land Surveying Services Group in our Minneapolis or Saint Paul, MN; Madison, WI; and Fargo; ND locations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform right of way, design, and construction surveys for highway, municipal, and roadway projects.
• Direct and perform field activities, scheduling work, and maintaining equipment.
• Manage surveying projects, working effectively with a project team and construction contractor.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• A two-year civil technology degree.
• 5 or more years' experience in construction surveying, topographic and boundary surveys, and right of way surveys.
• Experience operating Trimble GPS and Robotics equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time, and to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
• A valid Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform civil engineering technician and CADD work while not engaged in survey work.

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000

Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
