Amspec LLC. is seeking a field operations supervisor to oversee the location’s field staff and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company standards across terminals, refineries, vessels and barges.

Responsibilities

  • Perform announced and unannounced audits of field staff and prepare reports with recommendations
  • Implement training programs to maintain compliance and expertise
  • Investigate quality concerns and issue corrective action reports as necessary
  • Ensure strict enforcement of AmSpec policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety by enforcing pre-employment, random and annual drug and alcohol testing

Job description

Responsible for supervising field staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry and company regulations and policies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the management of the location’s field staff, including but not limited to: delegation of work; providing work schedules; training; hire, fire and disciplinary recommendations
  • Oversee detailed inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals and refineries as well as onboard vessels and barges
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations as well as industry minimum standards and ensure all work is performed to such standards
  • Perform announced and unannounced audits of field staff covering areas of safety and job performance – prepare audit reports together with recommendations for further training or termination from company as required
  • Implement training programs in order to ensure ongoing compliance and industry leading expertise
  • Investigate quality concerns and issue Corrective Action Reports as necessary – advise on hiring and terminations
  • Ensure strict enforcement of AmSpec policies and procedures
  • Safety Sensitive position that requires pre-employment, random and annual drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana testing).

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Physically demanding job in the field requiring ability to climb ladders and work in extreme weather conditions day and night
  • Ability to wear PPE including a respirator and/or self-contained breathing and pass a medical evaluation
