Job summary

Vaughn Construction in Texas is seeking an assistant superintendent to support on-site field supervision for commercial construction projects. Qualifications

• Four-year degree in construction, engineering or related field.
• Minimum of four years construction experience with supervision.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, or laboratory projects preferred.
• Proven self-perform labor track record and beat-the-budget history.
• Ability to meet or beat project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect activities and ensure compliance with project plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Enforce Vaughn safety program and OSHA rules on site.
• Coordinate trades and installations to avoid sequencing conflicts.
• Review plans and shop drawings before performing duties.
• Lead foremen, trainees, and trade workers to meet schedules.
• Communicate effectively with project team, QA/QC and safety colleagues.
• Develop professional relationships with client and design team to ensure project delivery.
• Ensure on-site personnel comply with project procedures.
• Maintain organization to finalize projects in a timely manner.
• Prepare time sheets, labor projections, and daily construction reports.
