Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking an OSM Field Superintendent to oversee offsite manufacturing construction activities at the project site. Reporting to the Project Superintendent and OSM Leads, this role collaborates with superintendents, subcontractors, and craft workers to manage 3D structural modules integrated with MP&E systems, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of hands-on mechanical/multidiscipline construction experience required.
• Experience on large industrial or high-tech fabrication projects preferred.
• Experience with high-purity chemical and gas systems strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required (may be obtained after hire).
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of materials and methods of mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities with other superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and discipline subcontractors.
• Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
• Maintain and adjust project schedule on a daily basis.
• Manage RFIs and submittals for client/architect review.
• Implement and oversee the QA/QC program for OSM scopes.
• Enforce and promote all safety protocols.
• Resolve design and constructability issues in the field.
• Respond to client requests and develop solutions using technical expertise.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with permitting, code requirements, and site specifications.
• Provide field condition data and scope details for cost estimating support.
• Oversee contractor performance in alignment with contractual requirements.
• Assist in managing field crew staffing levels, headcount, and competency with OSM trade partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
