Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year. The successful candidate will mobilize on a long-term (camp) assignment to Pecos, Texas. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide onsite leadership for electrical construction activities primarily focused on the project's T350 turbines and the installation of underground electrical commodities, ensuring all work is executed safely, meets technical requirements, and aligns with project schedule and budget objectives. You will direct craft labor and subcontractors, oversee daily field operations, and drive workforce planning, progress reporting, and cost/schedule performance. Working closely with engineering, construction management, and project controls, you will resolve constructability issues, support the development of work scopes, and ensure effective use of automation tools and project procedures. The position plays a central role in maintaining quality, enforcing use of current design documents, and ensuring that tools, materials, and equipment are available to support efficient execution. #LI-SP1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision

• Lead and direct craft labor and subcontractor teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution of daily work.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and coordination, ensuring alignment with project expectations.
• Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
• Oversees, coordinates and reports field activities of construction subcontracts
• Engage proactively in team development through CPM processes, competency assessments, and continuous feedback.
• Conducts foreman/subcontractor meetings to review/assist in daily, weekly, and monthly planning.
• Develops and monitors 3 Week Look Ahead Schedule for assigned work scope.
• Develop corrective plan to ensure progress and productivity targets are met.
• Verifies that all material, tools and other resources needed to support the 3 Week Look Ahead Schedule are available and on site.

Planning

• Determines workforce requirements.
• Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnelforecasts, and expenditures forecast.
• Participates in weekly cost and schedule reviews with senior management.
• Manages activities with other disciplines or areas and clients 'resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
• Coordinates and directs multi-discipline craft activities within a specific area of the project, or all related crafts of a single discipline covering one or more areas of the project.
• Forecasts labor unit rates, field distributable, construction equipment, and quantities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevantexperience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Previous experience delivering underground electrical installations as a Field Superintendent.
• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Experience overseeing engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
• Experience coordinating with design on constructability issues.
• Oversees the preparation of testing processes and required test equipment.
• Inspects installed components for technical acceptance.
• Oversees the development of Commodity Installation means and methods.
• Demonstrated understanding of industry / International Codes & Standards applicable to work scope.
• Experience leveraging applicable automation software and processes as applicable.
• Competent in supervising heavy lift activities.
