Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Structural Welder for field welding on structural steel components across commercial and infrastructure projects. The role requires working outdoors, at heights, and across multiple sites in Oregon, Washington, and California, performing FCAW/SMAW/GMAW welds per project specs.

You will read blueprints, adhere to AWS D1.1 standards, and collaborate with site crews to ensure quality and safety on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld to project specs.
• Experience welding large structural projects and field welding.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across NW & CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform field welding on structural steel components as required.
• Use FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes to complete welds to specs.
• Read blueprints and plan welding tasks from drawings.
• Assist steel erection, fitting, aligning, and securing members prior to welding.
• Ensure welds meet AWS D1.1 and project quality requirements.
• Adhere to safety procedures at heights, in lifts, and on active sites.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments.
