Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Part-Time Field Store Associate to join the Lowe's store team in Reading, PA. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and maintaining merchandising in the Paint and Pro departments.

You will engage customers, tint and mix products to spec, train fellow associates, and help execute in-store programs while adhering to company standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently, 70 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of delivery/retail/customer service experience preferred.
• Experience selling paint and paint-related products preferred.
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license preferred.
• Able to read/write in more than one language, Spanish helpful.

Job description

The Field Store Associate will be primarily responsible for driving and increasing sales at Lowe's stores. This position will be responsible for engaging customers in the Paint and Pro departments, generating customer leads, implementing effective sales and marketing programs, providing exceptional customer service, and managing merchandising.

Part-Time Field Store Associates are also expected to ensure maximum client satisfaction as well as stay up-to-date with product features and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the products.

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Lowe's Store #279, located at: 500 Madison Ave, Reading, PA 19605.

This is a part-time position working weekdays/afternoons/weekends. The schedule is based on business needs and subject to change.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Field Store Associate plays a key role in driving sales growth, delivering training to Lowe's associates, and ensuring high standards in service and merchandising execution.

Service

Sales

• Promote and represent Sherwin-Williams and Valspar brand standards and product strengths to Lowe's associates, customers, and contractors
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Assist Sales Representatives in generating sales leads by interacting customers

Training

• Train Lowe's associates on product knowledge and application methods
• Complete eLearning Modules
• Ensure HR Cloud trainings are up to date and within compliance

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have at least a High School diploma or GED
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
• Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's license
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
