Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Startup and Vibration Technician to lead commissioning and startup activities for new or upgraded equipment at customer sites nationwide. You will collect vibration data, troubleshoot, and ensure systems are installed correctly and transitioned to operations.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on field experience, and the ability to travel up to 100% of the time. You will work with controls teams to ensure proper integration and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in startup/commissioning or vibration analysis.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical, control, and mechanical issues with industrial equipment.
• Experience with vibration analysis, measurement, and troubleshooting on industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform startup activities for new or upgraded equipment, ensuring proper integration and calibration.
• Perform baseline vibration data collection during equipment start-ups.
• Collaborate with controls/automation teams to integrate vibration monitoring with control systems.
• Maintain commissioning documentation including test results and turnover packages.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
