Job summary

Baker Hughes Holdings LLC is seeking a Field Specialist - Junior Mechanic for Nova LT Turbines. The role focuses on learning and assisting with installation and maintenance of rotating equipment at customer sites, under direct supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or have 1–2 years of service experience in rotating equipment. Excellent English is required, with Spanish a plus, and travel of up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or 1–2 years in service/installation in rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings (P&ID, Instrumentation).
• Strong mechanical and control attitude.
• Excellent English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist crew during installation and maintenance at customer sites.
• Execute maintenance/installation of TPS rotating equipment with guidance from supervisors.
• Interact with mentor and supervisors to perform assigned work safely and correctly.
• Adhere to Baker Hughes HSE policies and procedures; perform related duties as required.

As a Field Specialist- Junior Mechanic Nova LT Turbines you will be responsible for:

• Under direct supervision during on‑job training, the candidate must receive and follow specific, detailed instructions.
• Learning and assisting the other crew members during Installation and/or Maintenance activities at Customer Sites.
• He/she is responsible for learning to execute maintenance/installation of TPS rotating equipment and for assisting other crew members in performing the assigned scope of work.
• Primarily interacts with assigned MENTOR or direct supervisor and other specialists/supervisors in the group.
• Executing all required responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors, following all IET Gas Technology Service applicable processes and procedures.
• Performing other related duties as required.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in mechanical and electrical engineering, or 1‑ 2 years of experience in the field of service or installation position in the Rotating Equipment industry
• Have an ability to understand and implement technical drawings (Mechanical drawings, P&ID, Instrumentation, etc.)
• Have a strong Mechanic and Control attitude
• Have an Excellent English fluency, both spoken and written; Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness and availability to travel worldwide 80% of the time (on and off shore).
• Legally authorized to work in the USA and eligible to work across the border, such as in Canada, Europe, and Mexico
