Job summary

Baker Hughes Holdings LLC in Evansville, WY seeks a Field Specialist for Cased Hole Completions to install downhole equipment and run applications on a rig. You will deliver detailed daily operation reports and ensure equipment compatibility while maintaining flawless execution for our customers.

You will operate primarily on a North Dakota-based CHC/R&S team with a 21 days on/7 days off rotation, and be on call 24/7 during days on. A high school diploma and 3–5 years in oil & gas are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to perform hydraulics calculations on paper.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Running medium to high-risk applications in Cased Hole Completions operations.
• Installing downhole completion equipment at the rig site under minimal supervision.
• Providing detailed daily updates/reports for operations on the rig.
• Ensuring supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for the job.
• Installing equipment in line with operating procedures to ensure flawless execution and minimize downtime for customers.
• Providing front-line support with customers and completing paperwork promptly.
• Expanding knowledge to apply applications of increasing complexity.
• Communicating effectively with customers and other team members.

About this job

This role includes installation of completion equipment as part of our CHC/R&S team. This Field Specialist will be based primarily in North Dakota working 21 days on and 7 days off on a rotational schedule.

As a Field Specialist - Case Hole Completions you will be responsible for

• Running medium to high-risk applications in Cased Hole Completions operations
• Installing downhole completion equipment at the rig site under minimal supervision
• Providing detailed daily updates/reports for operations on the rig
• Ensuring supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job
• Installing equipment in line with operating procedures to ensure flawless execution and minimizing down time for our customers
• Providing front-line support with customers and accurately completing and submitting all paperwork prior to or upon completion of job in a timely manner
• Continuing to expand and apply application knowledge and expertise to include applications of increasing complexity.
• Communicating effectively with customers and other team members

Fuel Your passion

To be successful in this role you will

• Have at least a High School Diploma or GED
• Have 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Be willing to be on call 24/7 during days on
• Be able to perform hydraulics calculations on paper (volumes, displacement, pressures etc.)
• Possess great communication skills with fluency in English
• Be able to effectively use all Microsoft Office programs
• Be able to work a rotation of 21 days on and 7 days off

Desired Qualifications

• 5+ years running completion equipment (packers, plugs, cement retainers)
• Exceptional computer skills
• Knowledge of workover and drilling rigs and operations
• Experience performing hydraulics calculations and knowledge of how fluid reacts downhole
• Willing to be a part of a team environment striving for success
