Chevron Odessa Production Team in Odessa, TX seeks a Field Specialist B to monitor and optimize oil, water, and gas production facilities. You will ensure equipment operates at peak reliability and efficiency, while collecting data and supporting process improvements.

The role follows an 8/6 schedule with rotating on-call shifts, weekends and holidays. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required; associate degree preferred and relocation not offered.

General knowledge of Chevron policies and processes.Shale & Tight Business is accepting online applications for the position of Field Specialist B at the Odessa Production Team near Odessa, TX through September 30th at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).This position assumes the responsibility of monitoring and optimization of all production process variables, ensuring that all production equipment is operating at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data.This position will follow an 8/6 work schedule.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Operates and monitors oil, water and gas production and distribution facilities, typically Upstream facilities from wells to primary separation and processing, and Midstream distribution/storage facilities (pipelines/terminals). General knowledge of Chevron policies and processes.Required Qualifications:A minimum of 1-year current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries.Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends and holidays of assigned work schedule and overtime based on workload.Ability to periodically work a night shift based upon predetermined schedule.Must have a valid driver's license.High School Diploma or equivalent.Must possess a valid driver's license. Company vehicles will be available for commute.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated knowledge of gas lift, ESP, and rod pump artificial lift types.Familiarity with Chevron factory standard facilities (CTBs, SWDs, Satellites, CSs) and equipment.Associate's degree in petroleum or Process Technology or related technology discipline.Two years current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries.Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues.Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment.Familiar with pneumatic/electronic instrumentation.Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), SAP, SCADA, and an aptitude for learning new digital tools (PI Vision, Power BI, PowerApps, etc.)Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.Relocation Options:Relocation will not be considered.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be considered.Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.IMPORTANT NOTEAs part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles.
