Job summary

Harvest Solar in Champaign, IL is hiring Solar Installers for our field crew. The role involves installing Harvest Solar systems at commercial sites, working outdoors in a team, and following directions to maintain safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain CDL. Overnight travel is common, with hotel covered and per diem provided. Hourly pay starts at $21.00 with overtime after 8 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Valid, non-suspended driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL.
• Ambitious, motivated, able to work with a team and follow directions.
• Experience accessing and working on roofs; comfortable at height and on sloped surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lay out jobsites, operate equipment to bore holes or drive posts, mount solar panels and run wiring.
• Test array output and maintain safety; follow instructions from managers and crew leaders.
• Assist electricians and carpenters; support site clean-up and material handling.
• Travel overnight 3–5 days; hotel and transportation costs covered; per diem provided.
