Tasman Inc is hiring a Construction Laborer / Soil Sample Technician in Colorado for field-based work on environmental and earthwork projects. You will perform soil sampling, hand augering, and field documentation while supporting construction crews and environmental professionals.

This full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork with regular field site activities, PPE usage, and occasional overtime based on project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to changing field conditions and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Willingness to learn new processes and take initiative.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil sampling using hand augering and manage samples with proper label and chain-of-custody.
• Assist with environmental investigation and remediation support activities.
• Support general labor tasks such as shoveling, material handling, and site cleanup.
• Complete daily timecards, JSAs, DVIRs, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain safety practices and participate in safety meetings and planning discussions.
• Communicate equipment, material, and staffing needs to supervisors as required.
