Nabors, based in Alice, Texas, is looking for a dedicated team player to service and repair rig control systems on drilling rigs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of experience in the drilling industry.
This role demands proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, compliance with safety standards, and the ability to provide 24-hour on-call support. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new field service applications are essential.

Seeking a safety-conscious team player to service, troubleshoot, repair, and commission rig control systems and integrated equipment on drilling rigs. Tasks involve working with variable frequency drives, electrical and communication systems, hydraulic and computer controls, motors, DLR networking, fiber optics, Converteam drives, ACS800 ABB, transformers, generator controls, Engine ECM, code upgrades, BOP controls, accumulator functions, gas detection, CAT ET software, E3 modules, and completing both preventive maintenance and unplanned repairs. Must be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, have strong computer skills, and be familiar with test equipment including oscilloscopes, ground fault meters, meggers, multimeters, fiber testers, amp clamps, and meters. Understanding of electrical circuits and motors is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year experience in the drilling industry.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel.
CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING TO FAMILIARIZE SELF WITH COMPANY MYMAINTENANCE AND D365 FIELD SERVICE APP.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English. Ability to read and write, comprehend complex instructions, write short correspondence, and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute percentages.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver's License.
Possibly required to stay in accommodations provided at the rig for duration of hitch.
Compliance with IRCS Competence Assessment Management System requirements and required level training.
