Alliance Technical Group, located in Geismar, LA, is seeking a Field Services Technician to install, service, and repair Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems and related process analytics at customer facilities. The role emphasizes hands-on electronics troubleshooting and field service.

You’ll be part of a team or work independently, with travel 50–75% and occasional weekend work after training. Eligible to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• A.S. degree or military experience in electronics, instrumentation, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of electronics experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain CEMS and process analytic systems at industrial facilities.
• Troubleshoot system issues on electronic, pneumatic, pumps, and other components.
• Average 50–75% overnight travel, typically Monday–Friday.
• Provide technical support via telephone and internet.

We are looking for aField Services Technician to join Alliance Technical Group, located in Geismar, LA.

In the typical workday as a Field Services Technician, you will provide direct support to customers by completing a variety of work, such as new installations, troubleshooting and repairing system issues, maintaining, and servicing Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at industrial facilities. In this role, you might find yourself working with a team or individually, depending on the project. As a Field Services Technician, you will:

• Install, service, repair, and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and process analytic systems for industrial customers at their facility


• Troubleshoot system issues on electronic, pneumatic, pumps, and other components for proper system operation


• Average 50 – 75% overnight travel to customer site typically Monday – Friday


• Participate in the on-call rotation, which may occasionally include some weekends, will be required upon completion of training


• Provide technical support via telephone and the internet

What You'll Need:

• A.S. degree or military experience in electronics, instrumentation, or equivalent experience


• 2+ years of electronics experience


• Solid ability to troubleshoot systems with various test equipment


• Ability to work in physically demanding situations that may require you to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, etc.


• Ability to climb and be comfortable operating at heights up to or over 200 feet


• Ability to work in enclosed spaces


• Able to pass a background check and drug screen


• Proven top performer and team player in past positions

Must be willing to work outdoors in industrial environments.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The pay range for this entry-level role is $20-25 per hour.
